About
Hello – my name’s Paul Rissen, and welcome to R4isStatic. The name stems from my favourite line from the Franz Ferdinand song ‘Walkaway’. Currently, I’m an Information Architect at the BBC (currently Knowledge, Drama & Entertainment, formerly Audio & Music Interactive), and I also write/perform stand-up comedy. This website exists as a home for information about me and things I find interesting – blog posts might range from discussions about the Semantic Web, to comedy material (a la Richard Herring’s ‘Warming Up’), and from music to Doctor Who. I’ve never been good at keeping a diary, though, so bear with me – I will endeavour to update as often as possible.
Also remember that although I currently work for the BBC, the views and opinions expressed on this site are not those of the BBC themselves – I’m only a small cog in the machine – I’m a man, not The Man (nor am I Eugene Levy, in his underrated (possibly) film, ‘The Man’).
